Our breed goal should be to compete with Angus and Hereford in the marketplace and we are moving our percentage lower to be more like Maine’s and Chi’s. There should be incentive to own both registered makes AND females to be a Simmental breeder. Instead we keep lowering the percentage.

Simmental should been 50% or more to show in Any PTP shows ! It’s hard enough to get America cattle registered in the Canadian herd Book! We do not need it to be any harder!

I think the the minimal requirement should be 50% Simmental to be considered a percentage Simmetals. I think that less then that there is going to be a lot of crossbred that will try and show as a Simmetal.

Keep the Simmental genetics at the heart of the show. We do not need be a crossbred show! We need to show off the Simmental genetics not another breeds.

I feel that the 3/8 rule is a slap in the face to Simmental breeders since it will be promoting cattle that are a majority another breed or a mix of other breeds. The Simmental and % Simmental classes should promote Simmentals.
