The content of this bill threatens the freedom of art NGOs to play their role in national development without interference. It is inconsistent with Sections 39(1) (2) and 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
We call on lawmakers to withdraw the bill from further consideration in the interest of Nigerians.

The NGO Regulatory Commission Bill is a misplaced priority and a dictatorial initiative that must not be allowed to see the light of day.
The National Assembly should put a stop to this bill as it is capable of setting the cultural sector a decade backward.
