We should remove AI from the creative industry as a whole. This is not the field for corporations to exploit.

You have my support! Generative AI is a blight upon humanity and you deserve to be treated properly by your employers.

Stop stealing the work of your artists to then put them out of their work because studios are cheap as hell. Pay artists!

Artists and creators generally should not be forced to endure their artistry being hoovered up by AI [re]generators that seek to replace them.

AI ,,artists" violate every copyright law and get away with it. It's about time we do something about it

AI "art" will grind and destroy everything worth living for. It'll crush a lot more than jobs if we don't stop it now. You got this artists, there will always be a need for you, as long as there's at least one other living person.

Respect our labor as artists. Humans are the most important, not the machines. Respect our livelihood, our passions and our identity around the world. The developments are with us, not at cost of us!!.

AI art is evil. It's steals from real artists and then uses said art to make it's own "art". Making money off of AI art is just wrong.

MA animation student I support this petition as it advocates for AI regulation (it is not against AI per se). You wouldn't drive a car unless you have acquired the skills to control it, and you wouldn't go about driving any car unless it has met the safety requirements. Truth is, AI currently has no bounds, and these latter ones should be set. Look up how Eldagsen's work fooled the judges and went to win the Sony World Photography Contest. Kudos for him for having kept his integrity (I'd say he white hacked his way into proving that we are NOT yet equipped to have AI infiltrated in our artistic field). Set the boundaries. And then, and only then, can we have a talk about how to use AI in art, or in every other aspect in our lives. As for AI prompters, I do not believe it is okay to hand them such a powerful tool without first determining the scope of AI, and consequently letting them aknowledge that scope, in all its pros and cons, in terms of copyright, as well as the potential loss of craftsmanship. Art has been passed down through meticulous observation of the process, from generation to generation, through our struggles with our inner turmoils to express our innermost feelings and thoughts. Sadly many artforms have been lost due to the traditions not being kept, and mastery being taken to the grave. And now, come to shortcut all of this craftsmanship learning process, I hope one is aware of what we're losing. The artistic piece you see in front of you bears all the artist's suffering and time, from struggling to learn the technique up until the expression of one's individuality, but shortcutting this comes at a cost. And the question arises: are AI prompters able yet to contain this tool at will and self-discipline into what they would allow (or not allow) their tool to produce?
