As an architect with formal training in arts I too agree that big tech has no right to claim the works of millions of artists as fair use to power their generative AIs for their own profit. This is a blatant violation of the three steps outlined in the Berne treaty, one signatory countries are bound to follow.

Solidarity with creatives around the world, because this can escalate into something far worse beyond the scope of what we make right now.

of course i'm always with artists all over the world and always will be! not to mention the immense copyright violation issues... i also have no desire to look at fake art that is made by a copy-paste-plagiarise machine without meaning or intention. you can be sure that i will never accept AI, ever, i will always continue to support real artists. i also recommend that you should sue Laion, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney and the other AI corporations too. don't expect much help from the governement, their actions already show they want to side with the corporations, and don't care about the human rights of artists. this is why i also really want to see artists take legal actions. a petition alone will be ignored by the governement.

Tighten regulation on data scraping, algorythmically disassemble ALL current models, and start from scratch, following ethical guidelines, with consent and protection of all contributors and users in mind, and established HEAVY penalizations for infringing on any right of any individual. This needs to stop before it irrevocably harms humanity as a whole.

The theft and brutal lack of morals In the advent of AI in the art spaces needs to be stopped or it will destroy not only an industry but the passion and creativity of generations to come.
