Arnel Cabrera was married to a theatre nurse who came over from the Philippines in order to work in the NHS. She died during childbirth when a medication which should have been given via epidural was injected into her arm. The inquest into her death found it to be unlawful killing and found gross negligence against the Trust and the midwife involved. Arnel has been living here for four years and is now fighting to stay after being refused permission to stay in the UK. As nurses we support Arnel in his decision to stay in this country in respect for his wife who was a member of the nursing family.
