I cannot fathom the logic that would even consider using a quiet neighborhood street as a means of egress for a shopping center.

Our household in Arlington Park is most concerned about the connection on Northlands Dr into a shopping center. Also, we are concerned about zoning for big box stores. This seems very much against the comprehensive planning and high zoning standards Cary has been known for.

I am signing this petition to oppose the rezoning of Lewter property. Any commercial development at this site will have a negative impact on the property prices and quality of life of existing homeowners within the 0.5 mile radius. The most concerning aspect of the proposal is to connect this commercial development to Arlington park sub-division via Northlands drive. A BIG NO for commercial rezoning of this property.

Why would you consider routing retail traffic through a neighborhood street? And a 24/7 convenience store this close to other homes? We can't stop the development, but we really don't need this! Please consider denying this zoning request!

I oppose cutting down the majority of the beautiful trees that we all enjoy and make our community beautiful. I also oppose a big box store being placed in that location as there's plenty of shopping nearby in the new Parkside Commons and no need for it here. There's more construction going on along highway 55, so perhaps we can keep the majority of the commercial buildings over there since it's already a busy highway convenient to 540. Let's keep it primarily residential over here. The trees, awesome neighborhoods and greenways are the main reason people bought homes here.

I am opposed to this rezoning request. It is too close to resedential living spaces and should be contained to the current Harris Teeter shopping center across the street. I am not in support of yet another drug store directly across the street from an already existing drug store either, however, I think that is already underway.
