This sucks no where on google can you find anything about the missing tethering setting and to host a dedicated server I have to have two pcs it’s a big coverup

The tether distance has been my biggest complaint in all for ark on console(dedicated/nondedicated). I can't afford a PC, and as much as I like unofficial, I don't have the money to rent a server either. I have quite a few friends that play the game with me that feel the same. PvP on dedicated/nondedicated is nigh impossible. This needs fixed ASAP...

Its ridiculus, me and my buddy play it on ps4, we aint got the money to buy a dang pc, ive been waiting for years for you to give us atleast 600m tether distance, literally just doubled what we have will be 100000X times better, if you cant atleast just do that like what the hell are y'all doing wildcard? It just pisses me off that yall havent done anything about this and lose players over it, you wont lose me from it, but damn is it stupid, i know the ps4 can handle atleast, ATLEAST 600M

As an ARK player who loves playing with friends, I was mad about the host barrier the first time I booted up a dedicated server session with my friends. I say good riddance if we get the host barrier gone!

If playing on a PS5, they could use a detection script and disable tethering with it showing in the options. Ps4 users, give them a slider up to 2000 meters.
