I remember the only argument I heard about not having an optional tether was because it would make the game have very minimal performance, but I can generously say that the game ran perfectly fine with no tether on my original Xbox One with six of my friends playing with me. Since then, because this was about two years ago, the game has gotten a lot more optimized and believe it would be perfectly safe to add the option to out right remove the 300 meter tether. If it worked fine on Xbox then, it would work fine, or better, on every platform now.

I just want to play with my friends, there are so many other games similar where my friends and I play in our own servers. Time to pull your act together wildcard. Shouldn’t have to pay over $200 to be able to play with my friends on our own server.
