I am a big fan of chess and i know how tough the game can get...also Indian chess players are getting better in International chess career each and every day..that is they are representing our country and getting India recognition and making Indian citizens proud and thus making a lot of youngsters to take up chess...so i think it is really important for the government to start recognizing chess for government awards..

Really Arjuna award needs to be awarded for chess players also . They are the players who spend in huge money on trainers and everything but the govt doesn't help in any aspect . At least we expect they would provide moral support to them by awarding them with some Awards.
