Long overdue. Chess is rooted in our history and culture. To see it's proponents and champions unrecognised and unappreciated for the last seven years is quite pathetic. It's time to give them what they deserve.

I was not a great chess follower before but after following it for a while now it feels so good. Chess players should be given the same opportunities, facilities and recognition as other sports players.
