India government should give more awards to chess players

They represent our nation too and chess players are pride of our nation . They should be awarded and treated equally to other sports .

Absolutely shocking that players like Vidit and Adhiban are not yet Arjuna. Should have been awarded years ago.

chess players work as hard as any other sport players and are facing lot of troubles in olympiad , despite their brilliant abilities and performances. They deserve appreciation for their hardwork.

Let's give some credit to our chess team for making India proud worldwide. And also remember cricket is played by freakin 20 countries at max and chess is played in almost 200 countries so they deserve much more credit than freakin bat ball players.

The glories chess players bring to the nation are always undermined. At the time of writing this, 2 days are completed of chess olympiad (for India) and no newspaper /channel has covered their wonderful journey till now neither the sport ministry has send its good wishes(I doubt whether they know that olympiad is going on!!). We need to encourage and appreciate the chess players. Vishy sir, the pioneer of Indian chess has not still receive Bharat Ratna is so sad. The chess coaches too deserve recognition by Dhronacharya Award. We need to bring a change in chess community. WE CAN DO IT. INDIA OP ~Netra

Our country played chess at big big levels like world championship and they haven't got Arjuna Award for chess atleast for 7 years Please award them and motivate them Thank you
