The players deserve every bit of it, we all know how messed up the condition of sports in our country already is, the government is not willing to spend any bit of money for betterment of the players. So if the players are doing themselves and if the government is not even willing to recognise them, how worse it could be?
It is just a lot of embarrassment.

India has been producing gem of players in every possible aspect , Chess is one of them . Which is game of great interest . Our indian players have also brought pride to our country . I think awarding them for their efforts is the minimum we can do .. I hope next arjuna award for our INDIAN NATIONAL CHESS TEAM . Great work samay and sagar sir . Hats of to you

Indian chess deserves the recognition. Chess is such a mentally intensive sports. And our guys play their hearts out. Rewards will motivate them to take on the best in the world. Magnus will be dethroned by an Indian pretty soon.
