I am chess enthusiast and I know how much work It takes to master it and perform at the top. I think it is very important for India to recognize chess as a sport which can bring not only all it does, but also financial stability to the players. Arjuna award for chess will be able to bring more recognition to chess and chess players in India. Many countries like Russia are giving so much Importance to chess , and India has already produced a World Champion and so many medals at international events that chess players in India deserve this.
