To be honest, not only chess all Indian teams participating in any discipline deserves equal amount of craze and attention from the people as well as the government. It's heart breaking to see the government taking so good initiative for cricket but all other sports are ignored. So, to start with awarding the Arjuna Award to chess players would be good.

Chess has been a game that has been around for generations and played in several different countries. It takes a lot of effort to reach the level that our Grandmasters are at and hence it is important that they recieve equal recognition. India being one of the top countries in chess needs to supported by the government so that more and more people are encouraged to take up this game.
