Indian chess players have not been given Arjuna award since 7 years even they are doing well . It is not fair.

I support arjuna award for chess for their i.e. Vidit, Adiban, SP Sethuraman immense achievements.

I think the chess player deserve some credit bringing laurels to our country and our country should support it giving arjuna awards will be a small steps towards motivating them

Arjuna Award should be given to chess players....one award hasn't given in last 7 years...chess is one of the greatest games and India ls one of the greatest chess country...so I request the Government to consider giving arjun award to chess palyers..

As a chess player, I know it is so tough to reach the top world-class level in chess and to represent India in big events and winning them. A chess player put so much hard work to represent India on an International level. But there hard work got underappreciated yet they continued doing hard work and made us proud. Players like- Vidit Gujrathi, B. Adhiban S.P. Sethuraman, Padmini Rout and many others with so much phenomenal achievements in their career, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports should definitely consider to give Arjuna Award to the players and Dronacharya Award for coaches like RB Ramesh and many more.

I was not aware of such immense talent in the chess industry. Thanks to Mr. samay for bringing up light on these wonderful people with such great achievements in their fields. He has chosen the best way to promote the game. It's a wonderful game.

It's quite evident form all the facts that no award has been given to the players since 2013, although numerous titles and championships have been won.
