If there could be an Anjuna Award for cricket which is after all a foreign game then there should an Arjuna Award for chess too, which is an Indian game.

This should have been agreed that Chess is a very oldest and important game in India and we also should give respect to the game and the players that are playing for our country. Winning & losing are two parts of the game but playing the game and giving standard in front of the whole country is very important. To encourage more and more players the government should give respect to players as by giving them awards and medals. So I am signing this petition because since 7 years there is not a single Arjuna Award is given to any chess player. So I request the government to give the award to the best candidate for playing incredible Chess.
