How would an off shore helicopter incident be dealt with by Edinburgh or Glasgow? ARI will attract fewer high calibre trainee doctors if there is no trauma centre

We need a trauma centre in Aberdeen (a) because the central belt is just too far and (b) we should be able to attract high quality staff to ARI

The central belt is too far away from here for people to be able to survive the journey.

Thousands live above the Central Belt, have consideration for those families faced with such awful events that require trauma treatment. We have a voice and you should listen, Aberdeen needs it's unit.

We've long been proud of the high standard of NHS care in Aberdeen. It's essential that the promise of Major Trauma Centre status for ARI is kept to ensure it's future.

For the SNP to announce new major trauma centres to great fanfare before the referendum only to now 'consult' on a central-belt only model shows contempt and arrogance towards voters in the North-East. They have taken us for granted for too long.

Essential that the North of Scotland is served by a major trauma centre! Yet another example of Central Belt bias by the SNP.

Once again, proof that that the SNP do not uphold any promises or believe that anyone/thing above the central belt is worth investing in.
