Considering the dangers of Offshore industrial /Fishing work alone should be enough to warrant this unit staying here.

We need this for the North East of Scotland. We don't want to have to go to the Central Belt for trauma hospital treatment.

This is much needed up here we can't have everything in the central belt being a victim of severe trauma is bad enough with out being separated from your family and the transportation of a victim of severe trauma is putting there life at even more risk

My husband would've died in 2007 had it not been for the dedicated staff in intensive care when he was very ill with the flesh eating bug. Every machine was on hand that was needed. Since then he has needed lots of care for different illnesses including cancer & I just can't praise the hospital and staff in all departments enough so I would really like for the ARI to be one of the four Major Trauma Centres in Scotland and why not..it would save many a lot of worry, travel & money if it was on the door step for us up north...just think if were those who make stupid decisions that had someone far far away in a hospital and couldn't visit them because they couldn't afford it or if they also had to cope with young children just how would the feel. The ARI is a fantastic hospital and many will agree with me. And at the minute it's one of Scotland's leading major Trauma Centres it's very up to date so just think what it could be in the years to come...we want it to remain the cutting age of modern medicine that's for sure.

Most of Scotland is North of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Aberdeen and Inverness need trauma units to service this large area as the central belt is too far away for most of us.

Hospital facilities in general in the north east have been reducing for years. A 4 or 5 hour drive from Aberdeenshire for trauma care is unacceptable.
