This is an amazing structure, and should be maintained for maximum use, or why is it there? Volunteers should be permitted to contribute to that maintenance, as long as it is organized and approved to be done professionally so as to protect the animals. Good luck, everyone.

I agree with this idea one hundred percent. Perhaps a great working relationship between horse people and Gilpin will shine a light on how the public can interact with, say, the National Forest. I would definitely attend a meeting about this fabulous resource!

This is a great arena. I would be willing to give some time to help out. I think it would be nice to have a couple evenings per month as a designated time for horse people to gather at the arena to ride, practice and socialize.

I live in Black Hawk and would love to see this arena get more use. Why build it if its going to sit their vacant 95% of the year?

We are lucky to have such an amazing facility at our finger tips. I am a big supporter of Agriculture and feel it is very important to take care of the facility, this will help promote more activities on the grounds . Great idea to add additional help from qualified volunteers.

The barn and arena were built for equestrian / livestock/ 4H events , and it better stay that way !!

I would love to see the barn and arena be able to get more use. As a long time resident and horse owner it's sad to see that it is difficult to use it due to lack of maintenance.
