School fee hike is really tough on parents. School fee has been hiked many times in the recent years. Now as expatriates we people & parents are already under severe finance & mental stress due to on going activities in Oman. We have been facing tough times here in Oman for our survival. School is adding woes to already prevailing critical situation....which we unable to tolerate. So please school management has to withdraw their fee hike immediately.....

This fee hike for each Student @ RO:48/- per year, adds upto a mind boggling approx RO: 440,000/- (going by the school's current strength of 9200 students) additional revenue ONLY for the SMC of ISM & BoDs. When the School's playground has been already renovated, the whole school has been put up under the scanner of CCTVs which were some of the reasons for earlier years fee hike, what is the reason this time around ???
The plight of parents with 2 or 3 childrens going to school, will really become pathetic (RO. 1100 to 1600 fees for them to pay in a year) which is almost RO: 100 - 140 per month. Apart from the economy, work conditions, this decision of the school authorities to increase the fees will be another factor for most parents to move out of Oman.
This structure of BoD & SMC's having the autonomous authority to decide anything is really atrocious. Which is the entity that BoD can adhere to ?? The Indian Embassy, Oman?? Ministry of Foreign Affairs, India ?? There is no one.
All parents should voice together against this fees hike with BoD, and should ensure to revoke this insane regularity of School's once a year phenomenon.

You guys came begging for votes at the time of election assuring all good services, and now all BoD members seems to be totally spineless. The fee hike is not at all acceptable !!!!

What is the meaning of increasing school fees every year. If the school is facing any financial crunch stop giving fee concessions to the staff kids. What's the point of penalizing the parents like this? When the companies are cutting many perks y don't ism consider to cut down the perks of their staffs?
