Include Arab Studies in CA's New K-12 Ethnic Studies Curriculum

It is Essential to give our students accurate information about Arabs. Students are fed wrong and biased information by our prejudiced media.

With a sizeable Arab population in our communities, it is imperative that we include Arab studies in our K-12 ethnic studies curriculum. This step to provide accurate information about our Arab constituents will promote inter ethnic harmony and reduce prejudice

No legitimate reason has been, nor can be, given for not including Arab Americans in California's K-12 Ethnic Studies curriculum. Anti-Arab racism and Islamophobia have no legitimacy. Inclusion of Arab/Arab American studies is not only consistent with the principles of justice, it is necessary to an intellectually sound (in terms of the relevance to world history and culture) and inclusive Ethnic Studies program.

Thank you for helping us have our voices heard! There's a place at the world table for EVERYone. The more aware we are of other cultures, the more we LOVE ALL in our human family! Study is a great way to learn.

Let's teach as much about all of us as possible.

Now more than ever, we need young people to have access to studying a culture and religion that is being demonized and misconstrued. We need to allow students the dignity to study an essential, diverse, and global aspect of the world.

Very important and long overdue.

I also think the Arabic language should be taught a community colleges.

It is very important to encourage children to learn Arab culture and language!
