This petition is to request a Special Meeting of the Aquia Overlook Board of Directors in order to discuss two items: [The meeting will be a teleconference, b/c of the pandemic]
1) Whether the Garrett Company will turn over the HOA Board to the Aquia Overlook residents, since over 80% of lots in the community have now been sold. [Per the Board President in 2018, once 80% of community lots had been sold, the developer would turn over the HOA to the residents.]
2) No-cost licensing of the two waterfowl blinds adjacent to the shoreline of Indian View Court in order to prevent their licensing and overuse by outside companies.

I have finalized a formal request for the special meeting and sent it to the Board of Directors via certified mail. The next step involves waiting for their response regarding the transition timeline and the status of the waterfowl blinds.

The scale of this response confirms we have the leverage required to demand a formal transition of the HOA board. I am currently drafting a registered letter to the board president to secure a date for the requested teleconference.

I'm in...19 years here and Garrett still controls HOA...Time to hand over to the homeowners!
Enough is enough. It is way past time for them to step down and let us run our own neighborhood. 112 Indian View Court.
