I grew up swimming in Naperville from the age of 5-19. I earned a swim scholarship to Michigan State and am still swimming. Swimming is a lifelong sport, helped me budget my time and allowed me to make friends all over the country. I wish we had a program and pools in my current community like Naperville and could promote the benefits and lifesaving skills that swimming provides. Please build an indoor aquatic facility so kids don’t have to drive for miles to swim. You’ve already had several Olympic swimmers come out of your program, surely there are more!

50 meter indoor pool. This can bring revenue to your area with age group, senior, master swim events as well as semi-national and national venues. We are travelling 2 hours to Wisconsin and 2 hours to Indiana to compete. Please reconsider!!!

With 2,000+ kids in summer programs, a 1,000+ kids in club swimming and 5 of the top high school swim teams all in the Naperville area, it’s about time for a park district swimming facility. The community would benefit from recreational and competition pools!

Instructor, school District Swim Lesson Coordinator, Swim Coach, Swim Team Parent & Volunteer in Naperville, I have seen the need and anticipated benefit for children and adults of all ages for an indoor 50 meter pool and aquatic facility. Recreational, developmental, athletic, and therapeutic outcomes could be accessed and achieved making it an all-inclusive facility in an excellent community (that would also provide employment opportunities at varying levels, including opportunities for those with special needs to seek employment within the facility).

I can't believe we STILL have to drive to Wisconsin for big Illinois meets because Illinois has no facility that can handle it. With the number of swimmers OF ALL AGES in Naperville it is crazy we don't have such a facility here.

I would love for my kids to have access to an indoor pool like kids in other towns. The current Park design looks a lot like Commissioner's Park right down the road.
