AQHA points for multi Judge shows
The AQHA has instituted a policy of not awarding points, any points, for Multi Judge Shows other than those held by an AQHA Affiliate which is limited to one Show per year.
The Western Industry has been shrinking and numbers dropping and this stance is anticompetitive and not in the interest of members.
Showing horses is an expensive, very expensive HOBBY and members should have the opportunity to maximise that where they can. Multi Judge shows give members that opportunity AND are more animal welfare savvy as they reduce the work required by the horse who would otherwise have to compete at separate show to obtain equal points thus duplicating their workload.
So we the undersigned AQHA members hereby request a change in policy to approve all show application which provide classes for AQHA members irrespective of the number of Judges officiating at the Shows
