Approve the Liquor License Application for The Girl and the Vine

I want to support all the small businesses opening in Takoma Park. Without a liquor license, this cafe will not open. Why would we give a liquor license to many other businesses (The Republic, Roscoe’s, etc), but not this business?

This would be a great addition to the business community of Takoma Park, encourage residents to shop locally, and expand our tax base.

This is a restaurant, not a giant event space. People all over the world drink cocktails without causing an uproar. There's no downside in having a place where Takomans can share life and relaxation. I can't wait for opening day!

Please approve the license. Montgomery County liquor laws are already draconian enough. Stop the puritans and let this business serve alcohol like every other one that wants to in TKPK.

To the Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control Board of License Commissioners: Please accept this petition of strong support for the liquor license application of Kula Hospitality DBA The Girl and The Vine at 7071 Carroll Ave in Takoma Park, MD. Based on our understanding of its business model, it is our belief that this resident-owned, small business will contribute positively to our commercial district. The prior business owner had a liquor licenses in that building and we have other establishments that serve alcohol nearby on Carroll Avenue that successfully operate in the community.
