I support the proposal for a multi disciplinary development in Kingston for the surf club, upgraded public amenities and other business opportunities.

The Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club was awarded the Premier Club in Tasmania for 2015/2016, despite operating out of sheds. A club house will enable the club to continue to grow and provide services such as water and first aid education to even more nippers and continue to engage the Kingborough youth (13 years and above) to become responsible patrolling team members. Kingborough is a fast growing area but the Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club is currently hamstrung by poor facilities. The club is desperate for a proper home.

This project will be a fantastic asset to Kingston beach... its such a popular spot and something like this will attract more people to the area... great for the local businesses which in turn brings more into the area for the locals to enjoy.

Such an important development for not only Kingston Beach but the entire Kingborough and Huon Valley areas. Kingston Beach is used by so many people throughout the year, this development is essential to move with the times. The proposed development is in keeping with the area and should not be rejected based on representations from nearby residents...this is a massive drawcard for Kingston and must go ahead.

This is a much needed development which will transform an area that is outdated and is yet to mirror the business developments that are happening on the main st. This site hasn't changed in my lifetime , Kingston Beach is a hugely popular spot. I hope to take my children to beach and be able to use these facilities in the future.

Hi Kelly, There are new public toilets and change rooms as part of the development. The commercial facilities are there to make the project financially viable.
