Appoint Farschad Farzan to Lafayette City Council

I support Farschad Farzan's appointment to the Lafayette City Council. I am a resident of Lafayette and Burton Valley. farschad's position on local land used control makes him my choice.

i so much favor Farschad Farzan - attorney, housing experience, ran for Council before, on Planning Commission, has children and involved with their activities, young, fresh ideas. Please appoint him.

As a Lafayette resident and homeowner, I support the appointment of Farschad to fill the vacancy on the Lafayette City Council

Please Join 5273 of your neighbors and ask the council to appoint Farshad to the vacant CAM Burks seat. I believe he most closely represents the balanced and thoughtful position that he will fill. He is the only candidate currently who appears to have a balanced view on the politically charged issues which influence our city politics, and are being used to support the elimination of single family zoning and proposed high density in the downtown area (ie over 35 to 52 units/acre, with as low as 5' setback and up to 50' height). MY LETTER TO THE CITY COUNCIL for 8/19/21 meeting I looked up the city council election vote %'s comparing Farshad vs Karen Maggio here's what i see: Farschad received more votes(2020) than Karen (2018) in an open election adjusting for the different number of people in the race as well as in the absolute number of votes (which is double Karens) and even 13% more than Susan Candell (albiet in a lower turnout election). To me this is the strongest unbiased argument for Farschad over the other candidates (the rest of who have never run for council). Sources: 2020 election Farschad received 5,273 votes of 31,795 or 16.88% in a 4 way race. He was 57.9% of Cam Burks top vote at 9,096 votes ElectionSummaryReportRPT (cocovote.us) 2018 election Karen Maggio received 2,633 of 16,663 or 15.52% of total in a 5 way race. Farschsad Farzan received the next highest number of votes and the residents of Lafayette have already voiced their support of him.

We need to maintain single family housing zoning in our neighborhoods. Please know how important this is to the future of Lafayette!

I carefully read his comments during the last election and strongly feel that he will be a welcome asset to Lafayette's Council.

Not sure I would recall more than one person, whoever was appointed.

Farschad should be the ONLY person you consider based on the fact that he had the next number of votes in the election where Cam came in before him. He is the most qualified, and has the best intentions for the vision of the future for our city.

Farschad is highly qualified and is the logical candidate to take Cam's spot based on voting results from the last election.
