Home sharing was a big reason in my investment in Apple devices. This could speed up many people giving other products a chance. No good thing lasts forever. Maybe it is time to stop buying apple products. After all, they do not care to keep the functionality that brought us to them to begin with.

I use the audio books purchased on my desktop for my phone when I work out. I'm trying the "streaming" but how should I gain access to my book?

I won't be buying another IOS device until this is fixed. Only way for me to play and store 10,000 plus uncompressed audio files that I have taken decades to acquire. Time to invest in a real audio music server vs Apple based solution that seams to forget that Jobs' was also an audiophile. How long until Remote App stops working which also requires Home Sharring logon?

I want to share my music in my network on my devices! I don't want to copy all my music into the phone (or pay for sharing via cloud), this is 21st century, wake up.

Please bring this functionality back. I find it very enjoyable to listen to any song in my large iTunes library no matter what level of the house I'm in, through home sharing my iPhone to the iMac. I can't do this anymore.

HUGE disappointment. I used Home Sharing so I didn't have to sync my entire 15,000 song music library to my iPhone. I don't want to pay for Apple Music, I don't want to pay to iTunes Match, when a free feature worked perfectly for my needs. Apple, bring back iOS Home Sharing!!!

I have over the last eight years built up a large music library containing downloads from iTunes and uploads from my vast CD collection. Many of which are NOT available from iTunes. I am in a wheelchair and my iMac is in one room and I sit normally in the lounge where my music setup is. Until the advent of imusic I was able to listen to all of this via my iPhone or iPad which for a paraplegic is fantastic. I am upset it has now gone !! Also being an ex recording engineer I find the quality of the sound inferior from the application hence why I still buy CDs. Dianna Kralls latest CD is a good example. I have both the CD version and the iTunes download and the vocal is almost distorted on the download. Please can you consider this ASAP as it VERY important to my everyday enjoyment.

Please don't mess with the home sharing. I have 100's of bootlegs and rare jazz albums that I stream to my various iOS OS X devices, no music service will ever have what I already have. I have never and will never buy a subscription to a streaming service for music.

Apple users should have been notified of this! Bring back our songs folder!

If I promise never to sign up for Apple Music, can I listen to my own music in my own home again?

It is unfortunate that they do not even let you know before downloading. But for only $120 per year yo can listen to radio that has your library in it. This strikes me as a real duplicitous move. New era is beginning to shine through without Steve Jobs.

This is an uncharacteristically greedy maneuver by Apple. I believe that removing a feature for the sake of herding people into a payment model is highly unethical. For my part, I see no reason to update to the "New and Improved iOS". I'm usually on board with Tim's leadership decisions, but this actually hurts his image. It's a very Microsoft way of doing things.

Shouldn't have to pay to stream my music in my own home. Ridiculous. Same thing with Photos... Should be able to share those from my Mac to my iOS devices, not pay for iCloud storage.

Ridiculous that I can no longer share my own personal music collection from iTunes to my iPhones / iPads with ought being forced to pay for a service to stream it from Apples own collection instead (and pay for the feature).... Shame on you Apple, if I'd have know this was in 8.4 I would have boycotted it... Off to find a backup pre 8.4.
