Unable to Skype family in Baile mhiurne due to slow Internet. I live in London and find it v frustrating trying to Skype my mother living at home alone as we are constantly being cut off

The poor speeds during working hours diminish to even slower speeds at night. It is virtually impossible to conduct any online activity and many businesses depend on this as their primary conduit for customers around the country.

Extremely poor Eircom broadband in Baile Mhuirne. One minute youtube videos don't even load... Regardless of how long you give it! Very disappointing service. Not even worth having.

I've had several exchanges with eircom that led to hours of re-programming of routers, a replacement router, having our home lines checked twice by eircom technicians who told us that they're tired of making house calls in our area as they know the issue lies with the exchange.
It's insulting to be offered "higher speeds" when we don't get what we already pay for. Realistically, eircom are charging for a service they're not willing to provide.
They have been lucky that we haven't had a cable alternative, but it is really the last straw.

Broadband speed in the area is slow at the best of times, in the evenings we cannot even use it. This is a nightmare when you're trying to get work done from home.
