At its twelfth session in February 2014, the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee adopted resolution 24/33 on technical cooperation for the prevention of attacks against persons with albinism, in which it underscores the need for effective action to combat and eliminate attacks against persons with albinism and to adopt specific measures to protect and preserve the rights to life and to security of persons with albinism, as well as their right not to be subject to torture and ill-treatment. It is therefore our prayer that Governments will unite to implement these resolutions.
