Final supporters
The Journeys assignment has been poorly distributed and the students have been even more poorly informed and prepared for this task. On top of that, the time constraints are further minimized for many classes giving them 6 or less days to complete the task and 1 class period. This is absolutely not enough time to complete the task and we would like your help in changing that. We have contacted the teacher in charge of this assessment and were responded to with complete and absolute disregard. The fact that the students were not notified is justification to this. Sign this petition to demand for an extra week be added to the assessment!

The response to this has been overwhelming and it shows just how much we are all struggling with this workload. I am exhausted from chasing down answers but seeing this level of alignment keeps me moving forward. We are not backing down on this request.

This extension is very necessary. This is because we have the urban challenge on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday just the week before.
This applies for NSW school students What procedures are to be followed for: Providing adequate notice for tasks? In addition to the schedule of dates for assessment tasks, there must be provision for adequate notice of the precise timing of each assessment task. Generally, at least two weeks' notice of the details of a task should be given.
My class (9L) doesn't even have a proper teacher and we haven't studied a single poem. Now I find out the essays in a week. How are we supposed to do it?
We have no study on Poems and our journey on the text is limited as we had a substitute teacher
Yeah we got this late and due to urban challenge we can't do it phones nor laptops are allowed.

The AOS Journeys Assignment Extension This extension is completely necessary as several classes have yet to be informed of the essay, some of which have informed their teachers, only to have been replied with, "you should have checked Moodle". Scanning Moodle is a time-consuming task as students do not have the time to inspect every course daily to see if any new tasks have been added. As well as this, the Urban Challenge Camp will commence Wednesday to Friday, which has a strict "no personal technology" rule. Thus, the possibility to complete the essay in time is not likely, or will be of inadequate quality. For the reasons above, it is reasonable to ask for an extension for the AOS Journeys Assignment.
