ANYONE CAN BE A WOMAN ??

Women need protection, transwomen need protection, allowing anyone to identify as a woman protects none of us.

Seriously, why has’t The Academy changed its definition of ‘man.’ I am sickened and angered by men continuing to make decisions about women in all ignorance and great disregard.

Being a woman is not an 'identity' it is a biological reality. By allowing this decision to stand you will make make sexual inequality impossible to challenge.

If you include everyone then the class 'woman' is meaningless. People with disorders of sexual development (intersex) are either male or female. they do not identify as intersex, nor can they identify out of having a medical condition

This is a nightmare. This is a politic that will lead, in fact it´s ALREADY leading, to rape of women and girls!

Woman is an an adult human female. Sex NOT gender identity!

This unscientific rewriting of language can not continue. Women's rights are being set back irreparably all over the world.

Biology is not a 'feeling' - it is a biological reality. Throughout the animal kingdom, sex is binary - there are males and there are females - that is how nature works - how scientists can not understand this is beyond me. Even intersex human beings are male or female based on chromosomes. There are thousands of biological differences between men and women. Woman is a distinct sex category based on biology, chromosomes< hormones and sex organs - at birth!! Nobody is 'cis' - this is a disgusting, sexist insult - biological females have no obligation to follow stereotypical gender ideologies in order to 'match' their sex at birth - desist in using this sexist, abhorrent language. Feminists have fought for over a hundred years to rid the female sex of gender stereotypes. Stating that men can now literally 'be' women just because they feel 'feminine' or like wearing women's clothes and make-up is a horrifying, sexist insult to all biological women. How dare you allow men to colonize womanhood - they have their own sex category they are men! We want to preserve our own rights and sex - free of men. The Academy of Science should be ashamed of their misogyny and must retract their statement and apologize to all women and girls, worldwide.

'Woman' is not a subjective word. It is a category word meaning adult human female. Males are categorically not women. How is this supposed to be a scientific body if it recognises feelings over sex categories?

A woman isn’t anyone who believes they are a woman. This is state sanctioned misogyny.

I am not a scientist but I do remember Grade 10 Biology....people may feel they were born in the wrong body BUT their feelings do not change biology and never will.
