Good argument - but isn't there an official petition format on government websites that ensures the petition is presented? My understanding is that petitions outside of that format may not be presented officially. I would hate for this petition not get the attention it deserves.

The majority stay as born, male or female. For that minority who have elected to present as something different, they can state it when required. For everyone else “woman” means “woman”.

With a daughter in elite sport this scares me.
Will these men who identify as female ever have to deal with periods??? And the hormonal imbalance having your period causes on sporting performance. Ask any real woman who has run a marathon with their period. I think they would say they run better when not having their period!!! A problem a man pretending to woman will never have to deal with. Ohhh yes the woman can take birth control to stop her period...but how is that fair. Now the woman is forced to take hormones.

Women's sports will be full of men if denying biology continues, what hope will biological female athletes have then? Females can't compete fairly against males, males are naturally stronger and hormone treatment isn't enough to change this genetic difference. If biological males are competing against biological females, the level of injuries and severity especially in contact sport will be substantially higher. Death rates of women in sport will skyrocket. I fear for my daughter who is playing football at an elite level and all the girls aspiring to play contact sport at a professional level, their chances of being selected are already slim, but having to also compete against biological males will make it almost impossible. Changing the definition of a woman, would wipe out the rights that for decades women have been fighting for.
