We are human females, we are women. Being a woman is not an identity anyone may just want to claim to have and automatically let them to be considered women.

Sex based rights must be protected, to use the word woman so arbitrarily hurts the very real human beings that cannot opt out of their biological sex (no matter how they may wish to).

Woman should be defined as being a biological woman.

Sex is biological, and can not be adopted by anyone that takes a fancy to it. AHF

A woman is a biological female human being with XY chromosomes.

Too many have failed, the birds and the bees. It's basic biology, there are only two genders.

Human biology doesn't lie and it is biologically impossible to change one's sex. Allowing males to be called women just makes a mockery of what it is to be a woman. If a man is struggling to embrace his biological self, then he needs mental and spiritual support. He doesn't get to be called a woman because he can never be one.

Sex based rights must be protected. To do otherwise is a grotesque misuse of fairness and equality. We will end up with women being recorded as having prostrate checks! With men being recorded as having cervical screening. With violent attacks by men being recorded as women.

How in 2020 can gender be used to override decades of effort women have put into fighting for sex based rights ? Gender is not sex. How can a scientific organisation call itself a science organisation and take this stance. It’s laughable.

Women must be protected in all areas that pertain to their true biological identities. There can be no discrimination regarding their rights to being able to contribute to their chosen sports or any other areas without compromising those positions by anyone not biologically born female. There needs to be consideration given to the differences in physical attributes including strength and stature which can alter outcomes unfavourably. This is not about inclusion but basic women’s rights to be able to contribute to society in ways that they will not be disadvantaged. To be use science to be inclusive of everyone who identifies as female but are not born as such, excludes the very gender that should be protected by proven science and real facts.

We need to forget all the PC rubbish and get back to basics - and learn from nature!! Lions, Tigers, Dolphins, etc,? They know the reality of gender and just get on with life, performing their roles to the fullest. Perhaps the Australian Academy of Science should be studying - "Are humans the stupidest of all mammals"?

It's about time there was a pushback on the "feelings before facts"which we have seen inflicted on society, to the detriment of all.

Gutless men pretending to be women and even more gutless men failing to take a stand in defence of our beautiful women by exposing this nonsense for the fraud that it is.

I object to any institution allowing people to mis represent their birth sex identity

How much more outright crap are Australians supposed to put up with from these purportedly scientific bodies. Enough!
