Ash doesn’t care patients’ health. They just care how much money they can earn.

We did great job! Using acupuncture to reduce pain, inflammation! We save patients’ life belonged your knowledge, then you divided don’t pay for the service or lower pay for the service. It is fare? We must learn conventional and Chinese medicine do you think it is easy to get the level?

I don’t agree American Specialty Health (ASH) engaged in the process of price fixing by denying fare-and-reasonable compensation for medically necessary services and for discounting fees to prices that are far below what is usual-and-customary in the fair marketplace.

ASH has been price gauging healthcare practices that are considered “complementary” or “alternative”. For myself and many of my peers, we refuse to be considered lowly while many of our patients are coming to us as a primary care practitioner. We are the ones that regard the patients’ red flags and give guidance when they can’t get an appointment with their PCPs within weeks of their needing an appointment. We are the ones that spend more than 10 minutes with a patient to fully comprehend their health issues. We should be compensated accordingly.

The rate Blue Shield pays to acupuncturists is too low. ASH pays much lower to acupuncturist than market price. It’s very unfair for acupuncturist.

It’s totally wrong and it is impossible to take insurance and make a living with these prices. The billing is complicated and the approval process takes a lot of time and the pay has gone in 20 years from $33-$44 via ASH and that is completely wrong. It doesn’t pay for education, it doesn’t pay for overhead. It’s horrible. I will quit taking insurance if this is the way it goes. I cannot afford to live on what they pay.
