The thought to start paying Israel 6 billion dollars has recently arisen. The US currently pays Israel 3.15 billion dollars a year. Considering the US is already a little over 18 trillion dollars in debt, I think that increasing what we pay Israel is a horrible idea. At a rate of 6 billion dollars, by the year 2030 the US would be another 90 billion dollars in debt(not including all of the other outrageous expenses the United States has.) I think if anything we should decrease the amount we are paying Israel, if not completely stop paying them. Israel's current account balance is 5.269 billion dollars, so they would be perfectly capable of supporting themselves considering they are a small country. With less US influence, the tension between the Israelis and Palestinians may decrease.
