I am the Grandfather to a beautiful , brilliant, loving young woman who is fighting for her life because of this thing, and I say thing because it seems to be living inside of her controlling her thoughts & actions. A continuous battle. I will fight this with her as long as it takes. PLEASE SHUT DOWN THESE SITES

I have used these websites and got me into using other dangerous behaviors other than restricting my food. In turn made my Anorexia worse. 6 years later I'm still struggling. Nobody should go through this. Especially small children who have complete access to these websites.

I know that banning pro-ana/mia and thinspo sites won't help the people already suffering, but it would help keep new people from being affected. I am an anorexia survivor and I know that if all this had been around in my day I may never have recovered. It's sick that this has become an accepted part of society. Wherever we are in the world, we need to work to get these sites banned, and to get social sites to remove this type of content as well.

Well, I have to say that pictures with girls looking like grim reapers are very, very dangerous...I know that because I suffered from bulimia as well, but luckily my mom noticed that something is wrong with me soon.

These websites irreversibly destroy brains. Parent Internet restrictions will only making the hard to access more desirable, they need tobe banned.

One of my best friends is in eating disorder treatment for the THIRD time. She loves life and loves the Lord and is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She fell into ana-mia as a 13-year-old and has fought the disorder tooth and nail into her twenties. I can only imagine how her life would have been different physically and spiritually without the grip of this terrible disorder on her life. I want to see anything that promotes these horrible, addicting habits thrown off the face of the earth!

All the pro ana and pro mia sights need to be removed from the internet its no different then a suicide website looking like a skeleton is not healthy or beautiful

These people running these pro-ana/ pro-mia sites do not even know the damage they could and probably already have inflicted to their members by encouraging eating disorders. Eating disorders are not a lifestyle or a joke. They are serious. Please take these down.

I've recently made my one year mark for being discharged from the hospital and the start of my ana recovery. I've never been more happy. Ana can burn in hell.

This petition is advocating GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP OF THE INTERNET. Seriously you want the government controlling what can be put on the internet and what information people can access.
That is completely stupid and not only undermines democracy but personal liberty and freedom.
Yah I'm sorry a select minority of teenage girls are easily manipulated by social pressures and are now dying of an eating disorder however that is not nearly enough justification for such an infringement of personal rights.
