The China fur trade is a major issue resulting in many animals being tortured beyond reason. It is one thing to kill animals for pleasure, however it is another to make them suffer through the process. The China fur trade painfully kill animals, including foxes, minks, rabbits, dogs and cats so that they can be turned into trim and trinkets. There are no penalties for abusing animals in China, which is why millions of animals are being bludgeoned, hanged, bled to death, and strangled with wire nooses. Often, fur is purposefully mislabelled as other species, and is transported to countries including America to be sold to oblivious shoppers. The pain of the animals start with their living conditions. Multiple animals are forced in small wired cages, with no shelter from the blazing sun, pouring rain or the freezing winter. Expecting mothers aren't even given a separate cage where they can give birth, often resulting in death from disease. When the time comes for them to be skinned, research shown from the Swiss Animal Protection confirms that they are still alive, and struggling desperately whilst being hung by their feet. Animals that struggle too hard get stomped on by the workers on delicate areas, such as the head and neck. Once this process has finished, the hairless bloody creatures are thrown into a pile of animals that came before them. Some are still alive, gasping for air, whilst they watch their family and friends die before their eyes.
