Since the founding of Aliso Niguel High School, students have been able to sit in their cars before school. After 22 years of students possessing the freedom to sit in their cars before going to class, administration has begun to strip students the right of sitting in their cars, forcing students to make the decision of either exiting their cars or receiving a detention. Students at Aliso Niguel use the time before school in their cars to do homework, eat breakfast, or to stay warm in the mornings. Furthermore, Aliso Niguel students pay a minimum fee of $100 per school year to park in the lot, so by giving school money we deserve the right to enjoy the comfort of our vehicles before class.
