Unfair EU Restrictions on Vitamin & Mineral Levels

It seems unlikely the EC or the EU FSA is taking much account of this or any other petition. Consumers might do better to contact their MPs and ask them what parliament and our own food authorities plan to do about this. There's a huge market in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) which is wholly herb-based; why shouldn't there be similar protection for national traditional herbal products?

As I begin to get old & wobbly I am also very afraid of going to a Dr. for medical advice . Hospitals & care homes are even more terrifying in case of being fed mind altering drugs or fed GMs in every meal & so loosing my identity & therefore spiritual focus.

Stop with this unhuman laws!

We seem to be living in a nanny state whereby we have no control over our own health. We absolutely have to have access to good quality supplements to make up for the fluoride in our water and other chemicals that we are being exposed to without our agreement or knowledge.

Clearly unfair. I am a fully qualified medical herbalist and want a full explanation from the ASA.

There are more deaths from pharmaceutical drugs, than a very unlikely possible overdose of vitamins or minerals. It is up to consumer choice, not the dictates of the EC

I do not wish to die a slow death due to people in power who are totally ignorant of the the human body and the individual needs for balance. Animals will seek instinctively to balance themselves with certain plants, we are no different, our own body knows what it needs... leave us alone and let us live.

Any government that seeks to control my use of vitamins by insisting that it is for my own good will not get my vote.

The dangers to human health of GM foods needs to highlighted in every way so that people can exercise their democratic right to reject them.

Our soil is almost exhausted of minerals, so our forced grown fruit & vegetables do not contain the same amount of vitamins & minerals of 50years ago. The level needs to be at least doubled.

Restriction like these diminish our freedom to make decisions about our own health. As long as sufficient warnings are on packaging then it should not be necessary to legislate in this way. Additives in foods are surely a bigger problem than supplements which are only designed to help individuals not help manufacturers

We must protect our right to natural health.

The big pharmaceutical companies are destroying our health for the sake of the their pursuit of even bigger profits. Supplements work. It's a fact.
