Unfair EU Restrictions on Vitamin & Mineral Levels

I see it as a human right to be free to decide over my own health. So please EU stop letting Big Pharma control over our lives. All understand that it is they who are behind the proposal to limit the available maximum dose of minerals and vitamins. They really do not want our best, they only look for profit. The sicker we become, the more profit for them!

I'm a grown up, nutritionally and chemically literate UK citizen who needs no one to manage my healthcare. I thought the UK under this government was supposed to be about personal choice. I've been pro-European for most of my 72 years, but this is ridiculous. Hello UKIP.

It should be a basic human right, to choose how we manage our own health

I have been taking high-potency vitamin & mineral food supplements for over 25 yrs. I am a healthy 78 yr-old

Please do not tamper with the current levels of vitamins and minerals in dietary supplements, which have been proven safe and effective for years. We all have the right to natural health, and the intelligence to "ask" where necessary.

I go to a wellness clinic and take vitamins and at 72 am healthy. Don't take any prescription drugs. Also exercise and try to avoid stress, also important.

Is this all to do with helping the pharmaceutical investment corporations which thrive on poor health and disease in the population?

As you (the EU) seems to be unable to protect our (organic) food, leave at least the supplements untouched by your greedy money-fingers.

I think it is an infringement of my human rights for legislation to be allowed which obstructs me from taking responsibility for my own health.I challenge you to present me with a representative of the kind of regime you are trying to introduce who exhibits my level of energy health

Its insane that humans are being restricted the rights the natural god even plants and herbs and it needs to be in balance with the health care crisis .

I expect to be free to make my own decisions regarding natural health products and indeed my own health and I do not expect any government organisations to gang up and discriminate against the providers of natural health products.

Once a gp prescribed drug has almost killed you and you realise that on two previous occasions in France and Hungary, an OTC herbal worked in a nano second, you know that the uk is lacking in common sense and that doctors shd have training in herbs. Big PHARMA renders them senseless and robotic. Last resort. Al items I buy from Usa now banned and I have to get friends to bring things from France which is nearly as bad as the uk now, and America. Fish oil for gods sake last thing unavailable to uk buyers (yeah you know why, cheaper, more concentrated and damaging to big Pharmas selling similar overpriced) oh it makes you seethe. I have got my MEP on it

Food supplements have kept me healthy with no negative health issues for the past 40 years why do we need to fix something that is not broken and works well for millions of people keeping them free from medication and dis-ease. leave well enough alone, I want to choose what I put into my body to keep healthy...........

Polititians are NOT our friends, they are acting with their friends in big business: pharma, bio-tech, big ag, petro-chemicals and so on. It is time we reminded them WHO pays for everything; with our service, our work, our ideas, our taxes and our consumer power, it is US who pays for EVERYTHING in this world. So, isn't it time they started doing what we, their employers expect them to do and MANAGE the nations. We employ them as MANAGERS, we do not pay for our own MASTERS/SLAVE DRIVERS, why do they, and many of us think we do? I have heard people say "Our political masters". THEY ARE NOT OUR MASTERS!!!! I am NOT a Left winger, I believe in free enterprise but these big multi-nationals and their polititian pets do not resemble anything that is FREE.

Our food, or I should say WE are being poisoned with insecticides from GM crops; shortly our water supply will contain a cocktail of chemicals thanks to the widespread introduction of fracking; and now we are to be zapped on a constant basis with harmful electro-magnetic currents. Looks like they've got a perfect recipe for getting rid of us quickly, this is a sure means of doing it.....
