To all ATV enthusiasts of angus and area residents of essa township. we would like to see road access to allow ATVs some use of township roads to eliminate the need for trailering our ATVS to and from nearby trails and allow some access to local amenities like gas and food. With your help hopefully we can get council to see the need and potential benefits to the local businesses that can benefit from a bylaw allowing ATV enthusiasts and tax payers use of our roadways .

The increase in support has moved this proposal into the active category for council consideration. I am currently finalizing a draft of the formal request and expect to secure a meeting with the township planning department by the end of the week.

Look at what's it's done for wasaga beach, all the local businesses and restaurants love it, revenue is up and people on the ATV FB pages are flocking there ever weekend.
Some of us have problems using trailer which means we are restricted to the same trails all the time it would be great if we could have a little variety
As a resident of Essa township, this is a priority for me. No concessions would need to occur ( e.g. cost involved to pass the bylaw) just a simple vote to allow licensed and insured drivers to take to the roads to access local trails. I hope council could see that in taking this initiative Essa could partake in some of the tourist dollars ATV riders could bring to our township.
License and insured ATV riders. Look at the tourism dollars food and gas alone would be worth it .... this is needed
A lot of other Townships are now allowing responsible use of ATV's, I really think it's time ESSA opened up some roads to get access to trails.

ATV’s are an essential part of local economical transportation, using less fuel than small cars to move an individual, and the sport provides revenue and jobs for local people.
