This has been my biggest complaint with the registry. These horses were originally managed by the Remount, until Anglo-Arabian registry was taken over by AHA. A whole section of their pedigree is missing, and must be researched by the owners, or future breeders. A registry must be managed appropriately, AHA doesn't do this Breed justice, and fails to recognize that it is a Breed, not a paper trail of half arabians. I am tired of the mentality at the shows as well regarding Anglo-Anglo Arabians. I took my stallion to 2008 Sport Horse Nationals, and had other exhibitors question why I would keep a half breed whole. I gelded him after his National Championship and haven't participated in another AHA show since. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the small minded comments of AHA Members and the Failure of the Registry to recognize Anglo-Arabians as a distinct breed.

Just let us use the Jockey Club papers. It would save everyone so much time and money.

About time. Why make registration so hard when we have the official docs ready to go?

The current rules are just outdated. DNA should be enough proof for anyone.

This makes way more sense. Dealing with all that extra paperwork is a nightmare when the proof is already right there.
