I worked and knew personally Rodney “Jay” Andrews. Words can’t express the great person that was taken from us that day. As well as his partner James Nemorin who was equally a great person and is still greatly missed. The ferry should absolutely be named for them!

Sorry to say I disagree with death sentence overturned. That's the exact reason criminals keep doing the same thing over and over again. They all do whatever they want, get sentenced, out in 3-5 yes. Do it again. At the very least, the shooter should get life without parole for executing 2 police officers in the head.

I believe one of the ferry's should be named after these 2 brave NYPD Detectives. They paid the ultimate price in 2004 for keeping Staten Islanders safe from crime.
