I think this is a terrible thing to do to your customers.

Because of the threat to delete matches, I have been checking them out and have found a number of good relative matches. Small cMs DO matter.

Why are you doing this? The distant links may not be always accurate but they can be a hint or a clue. It looks like an easy way to remove some of the load from your servers.

I have paid for full membership for many years. I already lost valuable DNA matching in 2016 when you purged. Please don’t do it again.

I need these small segment matches as this is the area I am researching to break the brick wall. Please keep them as an option even if I need to pay more for them.

I'm requesting that Ancestry makes available to your members a feature to select all matches for grouping. Consistently the DNA match page gives an error the backend servers cannot retrieve my matches. My best research on family connections disrupted by the enslavement of my beloved Ancestors is in the 8-6 cm range that has verified my higher DNA matches in restoring our historical genetic family.

I believe I have more than paid for these matches with YEARS of subscriptions. You won't give us any DNA tools, so at least, don't take away matches, no matter how small.

I have over 300 potential common ancestors that show as less than 8cM. Some are the only connections validating specific ancestors are connected to me. Most serious genealogists want to go back more than 4-5 generations. For the most part, this is not possible without including these small DNA matches

Please do not remove the distant relative dna matches. They can be keys to locating relatives, or they can grant us a look at the area in which our ancestors lived!

Thank you for motivating me to check my <8cM matches - I've come across some really helpful links, more than I anticipated. It would be a HUGE loss for <8cM to not be available - they are EXACTLY what we need to make that distant connection! Valuable true matches are GOLD!!! The closer stuff is easy, it is the distant ones that can really count. Please DO NOT REMOVE OUR DATA.

I have been a member of Ancestry since 2010 and I want to continue to have access to ALL my matches and ALL my potential matches. While some matches in the 6.0 cM -7.99 cM range may be by chance, others are true matches. I want the opportunity to decide for myself now and in the future as more people take the DNA tests!
