My child suffers from brain vasculitis due to tick born infections and it’s been brutal

My daughter Grace has been diagnosed with PANDAS since age 4. She is now 10. She had what they call flares at that age, but it went away. As of September 2024, my daughter has been in a flare over a calander year. She goes in and out of complete Neuro inflammation and dysregulation. I have not been able to work because of this disease nor have I been able to get medical help even from Children's Hospital Los Angeles, one of the greatest teaching hospitals in the United States. In fact, their doctors say it does not exist. I am definitely afraid my daughter will end up with long-term brain damage and even psychosis. The only thing that helps her is ibuprofen and Aleve. Trust me, no one with true psychosis or mental health issues such as bipolar or schizophrenia all of a sudden is better with an Aleve. Past infection causes antibodies to go into overdrive infiltrating the blood brain membrane similar to vaccine damage or long Covid. Please please help us get our kids the medical interventions that they need. I never know when my daughter will make it to school and I've had to homeschool her off and on for years. I need to be able to make money or please allow her to have disability because because I never know if she will get a good nights sleep, I never know if she'll be able to make it to school, I never know when her symptoms are going to come or how intense. She needs IVIG At Home! Please please help us! Imagine your child all of a sudden, changing overnight after an infection like strep throat. Imagine your child having their eyes dilated at night and not be able to speak, having Baby talk, processing issues, regression, rage, mood swings, anxiety, depression, OCD, attention issues, sleep disturbance, night terrors, physical tics and more! The national Institute of health and the American pediatric Society has recognized this disease since 2015 and yet many doctors don't even know what it is and or they say it does not exist. The importance of understanding pans and pandas cannot be overstated. These are serious, life-threatening diseases, and most doctors are completely unaware of how to treat them.

Please provide this important care!

I would like to add that awareness of this condition could also help children struggling in public schools where they are punished repeatedly for a medical condition. Thank you for bringing attention and awareness to PANS/PANDAS.

Our federal government needs to spend the money needed to help provide the needed services for these innocent victims that need the right treatment to help them regain their health back. Praying

We have spent years and thousands of dollars out of pocket trying to get the help my son needs. This disease has destroyed my child and family. I wish there was some way to get my sweet boy back!!
