Seems like a fine, well researched article to me.

True academics and scholars exercise freedom of thought and speech, are not afraid of dissenting opinions, and know debate is necessary for intellectual development. I support free speech and open discussions.

I hope young people I know study at universities where considered thought and opinion are valued and not condemned for not meeting tenets of a prescribed ideology. I wonder what the point is of so many academic faculties which seek nothing but validation by their peers. There is a real material world.

I need to send this to my friends ... free speech can be abused and so does it's contrary.

Ideological cronyism should not be tolerated under the guise of feminist studies which prefer the male gaze. This is not feminism.

I support this open letter; what a shame the many editorial advisors to Hypatia chose to pull Tuvel's fine article.

Nobody and no subject should be immune to discourse, discussion and critiscism. This is an example of academic authoritarianism and it must be addressed.

I am totally appalled at that a so-called feminist philosophy journal would dafame and silence a feminist academic for challenging regressive gender ideology. What Hypatia did is not okay, not feminist and will not go unanswered.

We're witnessing the secular version of recent history's notorious "satanic panics" every time someone steps out of line on gender issues. We're seeing scenes play out on college campuses that make the christian response to Marilyn Manson look downright respectful, over transgressions as miniscule as not participating in a protest. Something's gotta give.
