How Low can this go? A news was published in daily Pioneer regarding the molestation of a student of NEHRU HOMEOPATHIC MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, DEFENCE COLONY, by the professors named Dr. Prabir Manna and Dr. S.k. Mishra of the same college in the college premises itself. This is a very shameful and humiliating incidence that has happened. As the alumni of this institution we are very concerned regarding the safety of the students and the reputation of our college. Since, this is a bailable offence, the professors are out of the joint, but what is the guarantee that the similar thing will not happen again, the safety of the students is at stake. We will want the college authorities to suspend/rusticate these professors immediately , as they may threaten the victim mentally, physically , academically(by threatening to fail them or by giving them supplies). Knowing the history of our college we know this has happened in the past, so we earnestly request you, that at least on the moral grounds, they should be suspended/rusticated. In the past some of the students had to leave the college and sacrifice their careers because of such threats by the professors, who made their life in the college a living hell . There has been incidences in the past when the students have to withdraw their complaints due to the threats of failing them n ruining the careers by the professors. We request u to take strict action to set an ideal example to avoid such incidences to recur. We request you to take an urgent and strict action against these professors.
