According to a report 80000 nigerians die of breast cancer averaging 240 Nigerians everyday and 10 Nigerians every hour. This has to stop and it can be stopped if the disease is detected early. There is little or no support towards the proper diagnosis and treatment of cancer in Nigeria. The government should kindly make this priority.

I fully support this petition as people all over the world should have access to proper treatments and the best chance at continuing to live their lives. I do believe, however, that they should specify in deeper context as to why the investments Nigeria has made on breast cancer treatments has made little to no impact on cancer survival rates. Nevertheless, this is an important cause to which I hope will make a difference in a country where the citizens in medical need are seemingly being neglected.

I believe early intervention will go a long way in saving lives. If the Government can show a little more interest in cancer awareness by funding research and subsidising treatment a lot of lives will be saved as they'll have access to better care.
