Amy is campaigning to have the lollypop lady moved closer to her school. At present the lollypop lady stands outside the old Kingswood first school which has now been flattened. All we are asking the county council to do, is to move her 150 yards down the road to where all the kids now cross on their own. The county council has said they can't just move the crossing as it has to meet 'national criteria' and has to be 'risk assessed'. Are we asking to much
PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION AND KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE!
I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the county council traffic department to discuss the risk assessment criteria. We are currently compiling a detailed map of the current crossing patterns at the new location to present for their review.

The scale of this response is sufficient to escalate our request to the county council highway safety office. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the transport director requesting an immediate physical risk assessment at the new crossing point.

150 yards? That is nothing. Bureaucracy at its finest while risking kids lives. Sort it out.

Ridiculous. My daughter crosses there every morning and it is a nightmare with the morning traffic. Move the crossing before someone gets hit!
